How it Works
Honestly, I don’t know how Tarot works. Nor do I know how prayer works but I still believe in the insight of Tarot and the healing power of prayer.
My Approach
Tarot can be a tool for neutral self-reflection. You have to “suspend disbelief” and open yourself up to something that may feel surreal for it to be effective. Not everyone can do this.
The cards can ask you to examine your thoughts, beliefs, motives, or actions. It also requires a degree of faith that the cards you’re selecting will be a source of insight about these topics. If you’re not open to it, it’s not going to be beneficial, or worse, because you’re not going to hear anything that’s being said during the reading. We both have the same goal . . . for you to walk away with a greater understanding of what’s going on in your life.
The world-renown Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, Carl Jung, explored several of the archetypal figures contained in the Tarot. Jung said, “we can predict the future when we know how the present moment evolved from the past.”
Your Perfect Guide
After enjoying this planet for over seven decades, I’ve observed noticeable patterns in life. These patterns all seem to be connected. Think of the Tarot cards as your personal guide down an unfamiliar road in the wilderness.
When you come upon a fork in your road, do you go left, right, or remain stuck in inertia and return back from where you came? The Tarot cards can provide guidance through narratives using key words and/or go deeper using storytelling based on the cards you energetically select. This selection of words or narratives might be triggers and will reflect what you need to hear at that present moment in time, not necessarily what you want to hear. You can be best prepared when you enter into the session without fear and with the attitude, “Bring it on!”
